Mandatory requirements:

• Swimmers must have swim support on the water.
• This can be a board paddler, a kayaker, ski, jet ski or a boat.
• Boat support, skippers must stay within 10m of the swimmer and your crew support must have a set of eyes always observing you and the water.
• All support crew (board paddler, kayak, ski, jet ski or boat) must carry a phone in a waterproof case.
• All support crew must be part of the Whats app group, prior to and during the race for communication purposes. All support crew must carry their phone during the race in a suitable waterproof container.
• Communication via phone maybe required for different situations.
• If the swimmer departs from the course and bugs out to one of the evacuation points… MANDATORY to inform Race Director immediately.
• Swim support craft Must carry a dry bag containing swimmers’ clothes: baggy tracksuit pants, long sleeve hoodie, wool hat.
• Swim time cut off is 4 hours.
• Swimmers must have completed a 10km swim prior to the swim date.
• Swims will have at least two boats on the water for swim checkpoints, medical support and Council lifeguard support.
• Contingency dates in case of bad weather or ocean conditions.
• Mandatory zoom meeting for swimmers and support crew.
• Swim information packages sent to swimmers and support crew.
• Swims limited to 100 entries per swim
